ADVANCED INDUSTRY JOBS IN THE CROSS HAIRS
WE ENGAGE WHEN POLICY THREATENS GROWTH.
- H-1B visa employees are vital to Oklahoma’s economic and intellectual vitality.
- In 2024, nearly 1,000 skilled H-1B professionals were approved
across technical, educational, and healthcare sectors.
Four bills filed at the Oklahoma State Capitol, targeting employers of H-1B workers, would penalize companies for using federally authorized programs. They would undermine economic development incentives, and make Oklahoma less attractive to growing industries.
Recent proposals would severely deter Oklahoma employers from hiring
these much needed, highly skilled, STEM employees.
